Table of ContentsToggleIn this article, we’ll be comparing two smartphones from Google. We’ll compare one of the company’s current-gen phones with the most powerful one Google had to offer in the previous generation. In other words, we’ll compare the Google Pixel 9 vs Google Pixel 8 Pro specs. These two phones are actually quite different, despite the fact that they’re siblings. The fact that they’re completely different in terms of size also adds fuel to the fire.

Samsung has started to roll out its June 2025 Android security update to two more smartphones, the Galaxy S23FE and Galaxy S24 FE. That update has rolled out to many phones thus far, including the Galaxy S25, S24, S23, S22, and many more devices. With that being said, the update rollout to the two ‘FE’ devices has kicked off in at least two countries, India and the Caucasus Countries. The thing is, by now, it has most likely spread to a lot more countries.

The US versions of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy S22+ have been spotted running Android 16-based One UI 8.0. Both of those models were spotted on Geekbench with Android 16. Samsung is obviously making progress with Android 16 integration. As a reminder, the Galaxy S25 was spotted with Android 16 back in March, and then it started getting an Android 16-based beta build of One UI 8. We’re already on Beta 2 version, actually. A number of other devices were spotted with Android 16, too.

Zimperium has spotted a new version of the Godfather malware for Android phones. Before we get to it, do note that we wrote about it in the past. The ‘Godfather’ malware actually has a long history at this point. This malware was spotted way back in 2021, for the very first time. Then it resurfaced in December 2022. We wrote about it, as it was a rather dangerous banking trojan that needed to be stopped.

It seems like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge sales are quite disappointing. Well, at least based on a report from Korea. This report comes from The Elec, and it goes hand-in-hand with a report from earlier this month. That report quoted industry sources, while this one comes from The Elec’s undefined sources. The report claims that Samsung is selling fewer Galaxy S25 Edge units than expected. In fact, it says that Samsung “considerably lowered” the number of units it manufactured in June.
