CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Friday the City of Portland reported a West Nile-positive mosquito was trapped on Houston Street near La Iguana restaurant. Crews will be out spraying Friday night and will continue to monitor the mosquito pools. This comes as Agua Dulce reported their fourth positive confirmation of the virus Thursday.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A threatening message was sent over social media by a Sinton ISD student this weekend. The district issued a release saying they promptly took action and reported the threat to local law enforcement and notified the parents of those involved. Sinton ISD said they take any and all threats seriously. They will be working alongside police during the investigation.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Coastal Bend K-pop fans gathered today as the Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation department hosted their first ever event for the genre called the 'Deluluville K-pop Bash'. If you aren't familiar, 'delulu' is a term used by K-pop fans to express their love for the idols they can become delusional over. The event was a chance for enthusiasts to meet and connect with other fellow fans.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Islanders with the 'TAMU-CC Student Volunteer Connection' were out bright and early to do some early spring cleaning on campus! Today's clean up is a kick off to homecoming and is held once in fall and once leading into spring. They branched out from the trails near the school all the way to nearby beaches and parking lots. Students said the bi-annual event is a way for them to take even more pride in their school.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The American Heart Association kicked off this year's 'Heart Ball' to promote the health and well-being of residents in our area. The night was filled with live entertainment, an auction, dinner and dancing, but also education on heart health for guests. Co-Chairperson, Peggy Ahuja said that supporting education and research is more important than ever. "We have to do this," said Ahuja.
