Barbara Nichols, RN, who served as president and CEO of Corry (Pa.) Memorial Hospital from 2000 to 2023, died April 28 at age 75. “Barb was an amazing leader, mentor, and person,” the hospital said in an April 29 Facebook post. “She dedicated her life to making a positive difference for others. Her love of the community drove her to provide outstanding healthcare for those in Corry and the surrounding areas.”Ms. Nichols retired in 2023 after six decades in healthcare.

Dr. Hernandez has served as the hospital’s executive director and COO since 2021, according to an April 18 Facebook post from The Mount Sinai Hospital. Under his leadership, Mount Sinai Queens has launched clinical programs including a cardiac catheterization lab and a new multispecialty practice, the post said.
