PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Aspiring models will have the chance to strut their stuff on Sunday, Dec. 5, in the Casting Call for Peoria Fashion Week. The CEO of Peoria Fashion Week and HAUS of Runway, Ezra Murry, and Model, Rayniah Anderson, joined WMBD to talk about Sunday’s event. For those who are interested, you can register online here. The organization is looking for models to showcase for designers who will be featured in the event.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD-TV) Bloomington’s newest hockey team is hitting the ice on Friday, November 8, with jerseys to honor local veterans. The new green jerseys are not the only way the team is highlighting servicemen and women for Military Appreciation Night. Andy Zilch, Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting, dropped by WMBD to talk about this themed night. Zilch explained the national anthem will be performed by a former Air Force veteran, along with an ROTC Color Guard presentation.

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — September is the unofficial start of spooky season. While Halloween is a fun holiday full of ghouls and candy, it can be scary for kids who are in the hospital for the holiday. Carle Health is teaming up with Spirit Halloween for the Spirit of Children fundraiser. When you shop for decor or costumes at the store, you can donate at the checkout. The money goes to the hospital to support kids who can’t roam the streets in search of candy on October 31.
