The Culver Shoe Company was a factory that once operated in Houston County and was located where Erin City Hall is today. The building that held the factory burned to the ground on Oct. 12, 1974.

Lake levels remain stable this week, although some rainfall was predicted. I do expect lakes and rivers not to change much this week. Kentucky Lake is holding at 354.5 feet, with flows averaging low to mid 20,000 cfs. The Cumberland River at Dover is at 54 feet, Clarksville is at 24 feet and Cheatham Dam is at 385 feet with the tailwaters at 356.8 feet with average flows between 10-14,000 cfs.
