The UAE announced the retail fuel prices for February 2025 on Friday, raising the rates by as much as 0.13 fils per litre compared to the previous month. From February 1, 2025, Super 98 petrol will cost Dhs2.74 a litre, up from Dhs2.61 a litre in January, while Special 95 will cost Dhs2.63 a litre, compared to Dhs2.50 a litre a month earlier. Petrol prices in January 2025 remained unchanged from December 2024 and were the lowest in the past year.

The UAE fuel price committee is scheduled to announce petrol and diesel prices for February 2025 on Friday. Since the government deregulated oil prices in August 2015, the UAE has been adjusting retail petrol prices on the last day of each month to align with global rates. The fuel price committee priced Super 98, Special 95 and E-Plus at Dhs2.61, Dhs2.50 and Dhs2.43 per litre, respectively, in January 2025. Diesel was priced at Dhs2.68 a litre.

Abu Dhabi’s PureHealth has agreed to acquire a 60 per cent stake in Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG), valuing the provider of private healthcare services in Greece and Cyprus at $2.31bn (EUR2.2bn). “CVC Capital Partners will retain 35 per cent of the business while CEO Dimitris Spyridis will own 5 per cent shareholding,” PureHealth said in a bourse filing.
