Pastor Femi Alao, a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun state, has lost his beloved mother, Deaconess Magareth Oyeronke Alao. She was aged 81. Deaconess Alao, according to a statement issued by the head of the family, Pastor Femi Alao died after a brief illness. She is survived by Pastor Femi Alao, Olugbon of Orile Igbon, HRH Oba Francis Olusola Alao, Pastor Tosin Alao, Pastor segun Alao and Mrs Bosede Olatunji.

President Bola Tinubu has hailed the creation of the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, championed by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil.
