One thing is for sure, Trader Joe's has no shortage of delicious cheese. The veritable wall of different cheeses, from cheddar to feta to stilton and back, is always swarmed with shoppers picking up blocks and wedges of the store's broad and constantly changing cheese selection. The newest cheese now arriving at Trader Joe's stores across the country is a clover gouda cheese from the Family Nijland estate creamery.

Olive oil gets all the praise, but there are dozens of oils that deserve ample use in your kitchen. While most of these oils are plant-based coming in the form of vegetable, soy, corn, coconut, and avocado (among others); a few animal fats really shine when used for cooking. I am partial to schmaltz myself, which is the Yiddish name for chicken fat, but it's more likely you would come across lard or tallow more regularly in day to day life.

The best part of Costco is arguably its robust bakery section. Seriously, I live alone but I still just renewed my membership for the year strictly to keep access to all of the fresh pastries and baked goods the Costco bakery pumps out daily. Among mine and many other shoppers' personal favorites are the buttery, flakey Costco croissants that sell for roughly $5.99 depending on your location for a pack of 12 — a pretty good deal at $0.50 a croissant if you ask me.

You have been storing your nuts all wrong! Well, probably, that is. While it's just fine to keep your nuts (we have some thoughts on which are best) out on the counter or in the pantry if you'll be snacking on them regularly and going through them quickly, this is not the ideal place for long-term storage. A tall glass of iced tea is always a great thirst-quencher to reach for. It's a stand-by choice for a summer refresher, a worthy replacement for a post-lunch caffeine hit that won't give you the jitters, and even a personal favorite of mine to order at a bar when I'm not partaking in alcohol — this way I don't feel left out and can still enjoy a tasty beverage. Just don't accidentally order a Long Island iced tea instead, as these cocktails are notoriously boozy.

Of all the different ways eggs can be prepared (scrambled, over easy, poached, etc.), hard-boiled is arguably the most underappreciated mode of preparation. You aren't as likely to see them on the breakfast table as often as you might find omelets, eggs benedict, or even coddled eggs. Granted, the bags of pre-boiled eggs sold in grocery stores usually bring to mind quick, healthy, high-protein snacks rather than a substantial, warm breakfast meal.
