Radon (222Rn), a progeny of uranium-238, occurs naturally in various environments. As entering an indoor environment, it can accumulate over time, resulting in elevated levels that can harm health. (1) Studies indicate that about 3% to 14% of lung cancer is attributed to long-term exposure to indoor radon. (2,3) Outdoors, it typically poses little health risks to the public due to its low concentration.
