HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Quarterback Kini McMillan was poised for another standout season in the Brown and Gold, but will now be sidelined after suffering an injury in week one against Kailua. The Trojans took a trip to the windward side last week to open their season against the Surf Riders. Early in the game McMillan went down with a shoulder injury. HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - University of Hawaii wide receiver Steven McBride returned to team activities with the Rainbow Warriors on Tuesday. The Louisiana native has been suspended from the team since July after he was arrested on felony abuse charges. The arrest was reclassified and McBride was charged with two counts of petty misdemeanor and not felony abuse of family.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The United States Olympic men's volleyball team captured the Bronze Medal at the Paris Summer Games on Friday. USA swept past Italy in three sets in the Bronze Medal match. There were four players with Hawaii ties that helped the US reach the podium. Kamehameha alum Micah Christenson notched 8 digs, a kill and a block while running USA's offense at the setter position.
