Gr 3-6–Nova, or Supa Nova to some, is a science-loving tween who sports adorable double puffs and lab coat. Nova has scientist parents, an older (irritating) sister, and a secret lab in her house. After watching a news report about plastic islands, Nova is inspired to create a plastic-eating creature, Chomp, from her sister’s used chewing gum. Chomp has a sweet disposition at first but quickly grows to ginormous proportions, with an appetite to match, and becomes uncontrollable.

Marvel Comics has released new details surrounding a Spider-Man design by Luciano Vecchio and it’s Japan’s very own Spider-Man—Takuya Yamashiro. “In the story, a new costume for Takuya is introduced, and it helps setting him visually apart from Peter,” Vecchio told CBR.

Marvel Comics has revealed a new five-issue series that’ll have Venom and Spider-Man fans giddy: Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse! Written by Kyle Higgens and Mat Groom with art by Luciano Vecchio, the series launches into comic shops on May 14th. It was first hinted at last month with prelude comics on the way to the event. “When Dan Slott and Olivier Copiel launched the SPIDER-VERSE in 2014, it transformed the Spider-Man mythos and completely took over the world,” Groom said.
