Last year's Game Awards kicked off with the reveal of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, an old-school side-scrolling throwback that came as quite the pleasant surprise, given that the series hadn't had a new entry in over a decade. Well, at today's Xbox Developer Direct Showcase, Team Ninja revealed an even more pleasant surprise: Ninja Gaiden 4, the next mainline title in the Ninja Gaiden series since 2012.

Well, it finally happened. After months of speculation and possible leaks, Nintendo has finally given us our first look at the Switch 2, just casually dropping the first teaser for it this morning, which you can view below. Here's what it showcases: The Switch 2 is going to have a larger screen than its predecessor, extending to larger Joy-Con controllers, and even a screen-wide kickstand. The controllers also no longer slide into place, instead attaching magnetically.

Well, this marks the tenth anniversary of The Game Awards, and in the Opening Act pre-show, they stated that they had the perfect first game announcement to celebrate. What did they mean by that? Well, you might imagine the tenth anniversary for a game released in 2014 or 2015. But no, instead, they decided to go back even further. It was pretty exciting when that first glimpse of the iconic NES cutscene appeared.
