Additional rain and storms through the evening

An active weekend of weather continues. Another wave of rain and rumbles of thunder will move across Central Indiana into this evening. A few of the storms could have gusty winds. The greatest potential for stronger storms will be south of I-70. Rain chances diminish tonight with lows around 50°. Our Easter Sunday starts with areas of rain. We expect to dry things out going into the middle of the day. However, Sunday night into early Monday brings the chance for additional rain and storms.
A warming trend gets underway today

Lots of sunshine in our Wednesday forecast means temperatures make a quick recovery from a chilly start. Those bright skies make for a nice day at the ballpark. Lots of kids will be heading to Victory Field for Baseball in Education. Temperatures warm through the 50s. Afternoon highs will range from the upper 50s north to middle 60s south. Clouds return Thursday. We also have the chance for a few showers. With many dry hours, any wet weather shouldn't interrupt your outdoor plans for long.

Grab the jacket! You'll need it all day with cooler temperatures, and skies becoming mostly cloudy. Highs only reach into the lower and middle 50s this afternoon. That's more typical of late March. It will also feel a bit cooler with a persistent NW wind. Gusts between 30 and 40 mph will be common into this evening. As clouds clear and winds relax tonight, areas of frost will be possible by Wednesday morning. That means it's time to protect your sensitive spring plants again.
Mild Monday with an isolated storm chance

We're opening the new work and school week with some spring warmth. Even with mostly cloudy skies, temperatures top out around 70° this afternoon. A passing cold front keeps us from getting even warmer. SW winds swing around to the NW this afternoon with gusts around 25 mph. There is the chance for an isolated shower or storm this afternoon into the evening. There is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) of an isolated storm producing gusty winds or hail. Again, this is just a small chance.
Breezy and warmer Sunday

We're enjoying a weekend warm-up! Even tonight won't be as chilly with lows around 40°. That means we don't have to worry about areas of frost heading into Sunday morning. Clouds increase tonight. Skies will range from partly sunny to mostly cloudy Sunday. Even though we won't see a ton of sunshine, we'll still get high temperatures back into the middle 60s. That's thanks to a south wind of 10-20 mph with gusts between 25 and 30 mph. Monday brings our next chance for a few showers.
Cooler today, but a warming trend for the weekend

We continue with our spring temperature swings. We're on the cooler side today with highs only reaching the lower 50s. That's more typical of the middle of March. Clouds decrease through the day. That gives us a mostly sunny afternoon. A north wind between 10 and 15 mph could gust around 25 mph. A cool day leads to another cold night. It's time to protect those sensitive spring blooms once again. We have a Freeze Warning overnight with temperatures falling into the upper 20s and lower 30s.
Warmer today with just an isolated storm chance

Following several chilly days, many of us get in on a warm-up today. Areas along and south of I-70 reach into the 60s this afternoon. Areas to the north won't be quite as warm with highs in the middle 50s. Much of the day comes with a mix of sun and clouds. We'll notice an increase in clouds this evening. We could see an isolated storm this evening. Best chances will be across far southern areas. That's where we have a Marginal Risk (Level 1/5) that a storm could produce gusty winds or hail.
Shower chances return today

Clouds roll back into Central Indiana today. Those clouds lead to the chance for some scattered rain showers this afternoon. We could see a few snowflakes mix in, but temperatures above freezing mean any snow won't be an issue. Another round of showers will be possible this evening into tonight. Rainfall across the area should be less than a quarter of an inch. Clouds and showers hold temperatures back a little bit this afternoon.
Sunny, but feeling like February today

Following a hard freeze this morning, temperatures will try to recover with lots of sunshine. However, we only manage highs in the low to middle 40s. That's more typical of late February. Temperatures turn cold again tonight with lows around 30°. Clouds return Wednesday, and so do rain chances. An area of wet weather arrives during the afternoon. Another rain chance comes through Wednesday night. The best chance for rain will be across the northern half of Central Indiana.
Temperatures stay cool this week. Freeze WATCH Monday night.

We still have the chance for a few light showers across the area this evening. The rain chances end tonight with some clearing of the clouds expected. This will send temperatures tumbling into the lower 30s. Some areas of frost are possible, so you may want to protect any sensitive early spring plants. We go from sunshine to an increase in clouds Monday. A quick moving cold front will limit highs to the lower to middle 50s. The front may also spark an isolated shower or two.
