SELMER, Tenn. — Save the date: an upcoming event aims to raise funds for local storm victims. The McNairy County Chamber of Commerce announced that a music festival is being organized to support those affected by a recent tornado. “After The Storm” will be held from 12-9 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at Selmer City Park. Attendees can expect a variety of talented artists, including gospel, bluegrass, country, blues and classic rock music.

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — The vehicle of a missing man from out of state has reportedly been found in West Tennessee. Ryan VandenBosch has been reported missing to the Waterman Illinois Police Department. According to Tennessee Missing and Unsolved, VandenBosch was last seen on March 13 in Warren, Ohio. He was reportedly on his way to visit a cousin before he planned to visit Iowa, but he never showed up to either place.

JACKSON, Tenn. — Family is searching for a man who they say has been missing since March 22. 37-year-old Sean Rhodes is said to have left the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital around 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 22. Family has not seen or heard from him since. According to Rhodes’ mother, it’s out of character for him to not stay in touch, and she says he may be experiencing a mental health crisis. Rhodes is described as 6’2″, 275 pounds, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are currently seeking the whereabouts of what they say is a runaway child. The Jackson Police Department confirms Nicholai Meissner is missing. According to Tennessee Missing and Unsolved, Nicholai is 17-years-old and has been missing since March 18, 2025. He previously lived in Clarksville, Tennessee. No other details surrounding the circumstances of his disappearance have been confirmed at this time.

Lisa Greene-Lewis with Intuit Turbo Tax says that anyone who has not yet filed should be gathering all necessary documents in one place. This includes W-2’s or 1099’s and receipts that show expenses. She says that it’s best to file as early as possible to ensure you get your refund quickly and identify any possible issues early.
