MARTIN, Tenn. — The musical lineup has been revealed for the 32nd annual Tennessee Soybean Festival in Martin. This year, they’re taking things back to the 90s with Saturday’s headliner: TLC!Live music at the festival will kick off on Thursday, September 4 with Bizz & Everyday People. Friday’s show will feature Dillon Carmichael and CMA-winning group The Band Perry. Finally, on Saturday, September 7, TLC will take the stage with special guest Rapper Tone Loc.

According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, on June 7, all state residents and visitors of any age may fish without a license in Tennessee’s public waters. TWRA’s website states that additionally, youth ages 15 or younger may fish for free the entire week, beginning on June 7 and continuing through the following Friday, June 13.
Authorities on the lookout for 2 suspects in truck theft

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities need your help in identifying two theft suspects. According to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, two male suspects broke in to Monroe Auto Sales in Perryville and stole a 2022 Black GMC Sierra. The Sheriff’s Office says this theft occurred around 4 a.m. on Thursday, May 22. Authorities shared security footage depicting a suspect, along with photos of the stolen vehicle.

Storm shelters to open amid severe storms

JACKSON, Tenn. — Due to severe weather in the forecast for Tuesday evening, some local shelters will be opening to the public. The Jackson Madison County Emergency Management Agency confirmed the shelter located at Jackson Regional Airport (308 Grady Montgomery Drive) will be opening. Additionally, the City of Martin announced the Community Safe Room, located at 701 North Lindell Street, is open now. West Tennessee has several other shelters that may not be mentioned in this article.
