VIAN, Okla. (KNWA/KFTA) — As severe storms moved through eastern Oklahoma and the Arkansas River Valley on Friday morning, some areas had reports of possible tornadoes, including in Vian. The Vian Police Department said in a social media post that an officer and investigator caught a glimpse of a tornado as it was going through the south side of town. Vian, located in western Sequoyah County, was briefly under tornado warning on Friday as a line of storms crossed through the county.

VAN BUREN, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Crawford County Department of Emergency Management says more than 50 structures have suffered damage following severe storms that moved through the area on Friday morning. CCDEM said in a social media post that a tornado struck the county, causing significant damage in the area of 17th, 18th, and 19th Streets, along with surrounding neighborhoods.
