Defense wins championships. This is as true in the NFL as it is in Madden. You won’t have much success in either without a good defense. A big aspect of defense, and perhaps the most exciting element of defense, is turning the ball over. This ends your opponent’s offensive momentum and gives your offense a chance to score.

Strategy items are a relatively new addition to MUT. Along with training points, you can use strategy items to increase the ratings of certain players on your roster. Each strategy item has a boost that you can apply to certain players or your team as a whole. Silver and gold strategy items can only be added to single players, but coach strategy items can be applied to the whole team.

Winning games in Madden takes both offensive and defensive excellence. Offenses in Madden are pretty straightforward and rely heavily on whether you have a good playbook full of dynamic and easily executable plays. Defense in Madden is trickier. You need to focus on several facets of the defense all at the same time. You need to play good pass coverage, identify and beat the run, but most importantly, you need to rush the passer to try to sack them. Getting sacks is vital to winning games in Madden.

But for such a critical element of the game mode, EA doesn’t make the store all that intuitive. Packs are often randomly placed in the store in arbitrary categories with no rhyme or reason to the releases and stock of the packs.

Madden 24’s Ultimate Team mode, like previous versions of the game, runs on the primary currency of MUT coins. This aspect of Madden has not changed at all from 2023. MUT coins, unlike Madden points, aren’t available for purchase; you must earn coins through various avenues within Madden Ultimate Team. Unlike Points, Coins can be used to buy cards from the auction hub and packs containing rare players and items.

In MUT 24, the name of the game is earning coins quickly and building the best MUT team possible. In order to do this, you must build your roster with talented players affordably. Not everyone can go and spend hundreds of dollars on Madden points in order to buy specialty packs to improve their lineup. If you want to upgrade your team without breaking the bank, Madden has a wide variety of affordable mid-ranged cards that you can find in the Auction hub.

Training Points are a secondary currency used in Madden 24 to improve your team through player upgrades and adding playbooks and uniforms. Much like Madden coins, adding training points as cost-efficiently as possible is important. You can get training points by quick-selling players. The amount of training points you get from each player depends on the player’s overall.
