Hey y'all...Let’s take a ride down the bayou   In 2020, Disney announced that both Disney World and Disneyland would be closing Splash Mountain and re-theming it.  The ride, while popular, was also incredibly controversial among guests. Splash Mountains' storyline was based off the 1946 movie Song of the South. The movie has since been denounced for its racist representation of the American Old South.

AbstractRapid learning confers significant advantages to animals in ecological environments. Despite the need for speed, animals appear to only slowly learn to associate rewarded actions with predictive cues. This slow learning is thought to be supported by a gradual expansion of predictive cue representation in the sensory cortex.

This Memorial Day, a “Laying of the Wreaths” ceremony was held in Davenport for the first time. The ceremony took place at Wilson Park in front of the memorial for Medal of Honor winner and veteran James. R. “Red” Hendrix.  The event included a table displaying photos of six vets from Polk County who would be getting recognition during the ceremony. There was also a marker laid out for guests to sign a tablecloth that the photos were set up on.

The once pushcart has now evolved into a drive through and walk-up coffee stand that has established several locations over the west coast. The coffee shop’s Florida location officially opened in February, making it the first Dutch Bros on the East coast.
