In their Statistical Modeling class with Margaret V. Haggin Professor of Mathematics and Data Science Jeffrey Heath, the Centre students explored sports analytics by building models to predict end-of-season NBA honors.

    Two Centre College students have been named Fulbright U.S. Student Program English Teaching Assistants (ETA) for 2025, continuing the College’s impressive record with 14 awardees in the past five years. Phillip-Michael Collins ‘25 and Alli Barrows ‘25 will spend the next year teaching English in the West Bank and Germany, respectively. Both recent graduates have showcased a commitment to making their communities — and the world — a better place.

    For the 36th year, Centre welcomed the Kentucky Governors’ Scholars Program (GSP) to campus with 355 of the Commonwealth’s brightest rising high school seniors enjoying a taste of the college experience over five weeks. The College and GSP have agreed to extend their partnership for another three years. Centre is one of three colleges in the Commonwealth to be a host campus through 2028, joining Murray State University and Morehead State University.

    The opportunity to study abroad is a key part of the Centre student experience, with 85 percent of all students taking advantage of the program at least once during their time on campus. Travel offers students a chance to immerse themselves in other cultures while learning more about the world — and themselves — in the process. Coaches in Centre’s athletics department have also seen how shared experiences away from campus bring students closer together and foster personal growth.
