Fullerton took a trip to Santa Ana College on Friday afternoon and finished the Orange Empire Conference match in a 0-0 tie. Once again, the Hornets managed to lock horns with another OEC opponent running with only 10 players due to injuries. Playing tough defense and staying competitive was the name of the game as FC worked its second shutout-tie with a short-handed roster. The FC women's soccer team took a trip to Huntington Beach on Friday afternoon and lost a close one to the Rustlers of Golden West 1-0. Throughout the season, this Fullerton team has a scrappy way about them battling it out with limited players- 11 sometimes 10. Today, the team fell to Golden West on a late goal, despite a strong defensive effort. Hornet goalie Kyra Mangini had 3 saves with only the one goal against in 90 minutes.
