AbstractsMental disorders are associated with an increased risk of premature death, including suicide. This study aimed to examine the risk of suicide and all-cause death in patients with mental disorders after considering demographic, clinical, and lifestyle factors. Data from the National Health Insurance Sharing Service database and linked data from Statistics Korea were used. In total, 3,951,398 people aged ≥20 years were eligible for this study.

The autoimmune and inflammatory pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), the use of immunomodulating therapy, and shared environmental or genetic risk factors between RA and malignancies have raised attention to cancer risk in patients with RA [1], in particular hematologic malignancies [1, 2]. In RA, the presence of autoantibodies is associated with rapid disease progression; however, it is unclear whether seropositivity is associated with hematologic malignancies.

Aim This study aimed to examine whether cumulative exposure to hypertriglyceridemia is associated with an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes in young adults. Methods The study included 1,840,251 participants aged 20–39 years who had undergone four consecutive annual health checkups and had no history of type 2 diabetes. Participants were categorized into five groups (exposure score 0–4) based on the frequencies of hypertriglyceridemia diagnosis over a four-year period.
