As Series Two of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League season comes to a close, the fans were in full force in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Sulphur, Louisiana. With rain delays and a doubleheader, there was no shortage of softball. Only one game remained in this series as the Talons looked to sweep the Blaze at Jim Frost Stadium in Chattanooga. That being said, here’s a recap of Game 12 of the inaugural Athletes Unlimited Softball League season.

Without question, Series One of the inaugural AUSL season delivered and then some. Sellout crowds in Rosemont and Wichita witnessed history with the best softball talent across the country. The second series began with Game Eight between the Talons and Blaze being rained out in Chattanooga. Yet, the Volts-Bandits series (Games Seven and Nine) happened in Sulphur, Louisiana. On Saturday, fans were treated to a doubleheader of the Talons versus Bandits and the final game of the Volts-Bandits series.

As Series Two of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League gets underway, all fourteams are seeking to keep the momentum going. The action is shifting down south to Sulphur, Louisiana and Chattanooga, Tennessee after opening in Rosemont and Wichita. It’s important to note that Game Eight between the Talons and Blaze was postponed in Chattanooga at Jim Frost Stadium due to weather. Games Seven and Nine were played at McMurry Park in Sulphur.

All things considered, the first series of the AUSL proved to be a great success with sellout crowds and stellar action on the field. Fans and those watching across the U.S. witnessed perfection in the final game of the series and more. That being said, here is a recap of Games Five and Six of the AUSL season. Entering this game, the Volts controlled the series against the Blaze by winning the first two games by a combined 15-4 margin.
