    Graphical Abstract Na3B5S9 is the first sodium thioborate fast ion conductor, exhibiting high total ionic conductivity of 0.80 mS cm−1 (sintered pellet). The corner-sharing B10S20 supertetrahedral clusters create 3D diffusion channels housing Na-ions that are well-distributed over five crystallographic sites. Solid state NMR and AIMD simulations further demonstrate fast Na-ion diffusion within the channels.
