The Moor Bridge roundabout, located between Hucknall Lane and Moor Bridge Road, has been a hotspot for accidents, causing worry among local residents. The major revamp, confirmed by Nottingham City Council, will kick off in Autumn 2024.

A cafe in Stapleford, which opened last year, has been put on the market. Yumm’s Diner has gone up for sale after opening in August 2023. The cafe, located on Nottingham Road in Stapleford is currently closed and on sale. The diner offered ‘a bit of everything' and the menu ranged from a full English breakfast to hot dogs and loaded wings. Nothing on the menu was more than £10 and was suitable for those on a budget.

The professional dancer will kick off his 2024 tour, Showman: An Evening with Anton Du Beke, this weekend and has confirmed a date for Nottingham fans. The Strictly judge will be bringing his Showman tour to Nottingham’s Playhouse on Wednesday, April 24, in Nottingham City Centre.

A Nottinghamshire drug dealer tried and failed to hide his drugs inside a set of fake baked bean cans. Connor Jackson cut out the bottom of the baked bean tins before stuffing them with bags full of cocaine. The 25-year-old then sealed up the mock cans and popped them on the shelf, while also hiding more drugs in a kitchen cabinet. Police executed a warrant at the property in Crocus Gardens, Edwalton.

A mini roundabout in Bulwell is to be removed and replaced with traffic signals to prioritise buses and improve journey times. Moor Bridge roundabout between Hucknall Lane and Moor Bridge Road will be removed to make way for new bus lanes and traffic signals. The roundabout has previously been described as the ‘worst’ in Nottingham and a ‘hotspot’ for accidents. Neighbours in the area have raised concerns over the years as they watched accidents taking place on their doorsteps.

A new stall has been confirmed for a popular Nottinghamshire indoor market and will open next week. A fishmonger is to open at the Idlewells Indoor Market in Sutton-in-Ashfield on Wednesday, February 28. Jon’s Fish Dish will be the newest stall to open at the market in the Idlewells Shopping Centre. Owned by married couple Jon and Rachel Pedersen, from Grimbsy, Jon’s Fish Dish offers ‘quality’ fresh and frozen fish. The new fishmongers will join the many stalls at the “bustling” indoor market.

Tram passengers have been branded as ‘heroes’ after helping to push a car that was blocking tram tracks in the city. Nottingham’s tram service has praised passengers who helped a tram driver move a car that was blocking the tracks at Noel Street in Nottingham. NET confirmed that a car had broken down on the tram tracks on Noel Street on Thursday evening, February 22. The tram, which was heading toward Clifton South, was blocked by the vehicle.
