A Weather Alert Day is in effect for Monday, June 24th. The Severe Prediction Center shows Eastern North Carolina at a slight risk. Severe thunderstorms will be possible between Monday afternoon and evening hours. The StormTrack 12 team is tracking a cold front moving eastward, bringing rain and potentially severe conditions to Eastern North Carolina. Damaging winds, hail, and an isolated tornado are all possible factors as the front moves off the coast.
