When I was younger, I used to devour books by Canadian author Charles De Lint. I am always amazed at the amount of things that I walk by, drive by, exist by that I never realized were there. Millions of things that I take for granted. Last Sunday (Dec. 10) evening we had a powerful rainstorm in Columbus. The metal roof on our house was singing in chorus to the large drops that were falling. Soon the wind picked up as well and driving rain was hitting the windows of our living room.
