Delhi Chief Minister and Finance Minister Rekha Gupta allocated monthly cash assistance worth Rs 2,500 for eligible women under a Rs 5,100 crore allocation, during the tabling of the budget for FY26, on March 25. Meanwhile, Rs 1,000 crore was earmarked to strengthen transport links within Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). The government announced its plan to introduce a ‘common pass’ for women using public buses. Gupta laid out a budget of Rs 1 lakh crore.
