WEST PALM BEACH – Before the start of last Saturday’s ESPN West Palm Beach 7-on-7 tournament at Keiser University, teams such as Wellington Palm Beach Central, West Palm Beach Cardinal Newman, Delray Beach Atlantic and Vero Beach were teams that many felt had the opportunity to win this event. After six hours of play with 16 teams coming from the Palm Beaches and the Treasure Coast, a program that nobody mentioned coming into play that took home the title and a $1,000.00 check.

Spring football is now in the books and programs throughout Florida are headed to college campuses throughout the country over the next month. As the 2024 season came to an end, you had Madison County (Rural), Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna (1A), Cocoa (2A), Miami Northwestern (3A), Plantation American Heritage (4A), Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas (5A), West Boca Raton (6A) and Venice (7A) all crowned as champions.

When the Jupiter High football team dropped a 35-0 second round state playoff game to Orlando Dr. Phillips, it brought to an end a very successful season for this program. With head coach Jason Kradman and his coaching staff stepping it up last season, it set up the future for the Warriors, who capped off a solid spring with two wins in a come-from-behind victory over Boca Raton and another impressive performance against Loxahatchee Seminole Ridge.
