The 2025 Masters highlighted the excitement and increased viewership when top golfers from both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf compete together. News that the desert’s PGA Tour Champions event, known for three years as the Galleri Classic, is looking for a new sponsor certainly had to bring old memories back for long-time desert golf fans. On the ice at Acrisure Arena, the Firebirds saw familiar faces return and score in Jani Nyman and Cale Fleury, both after recent stints with the Seattle Kraken of the NHL. That sparked a big first period on the way to a 4-2 victory over the Bakersfield Condors.
