Move aside Scout. Another old brand name is returning to the U.S. market for 2024: Westfalia. With a newly launched website, word is that the brand will be looking for retail partners at the RV Dealer Open House, America’s largest RV dealer show. It opens Sept. 25 in Elkhart, Indiana. It’s expected that the brand’s planned North American van will be on display as a pre-production model. The new vans will be built in Ontario, Canada.

Jeep rolled out the updated Gladiator for the 2024 model year during the 2023 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The new model mirrors the updates made to the new Wrangler. The moves are clearly more evolutionary than revolutionary, the new seven-slot grille of the truck being the biggest change, allowing for more airflow and improved vehicle performance, officials told reporters during a preview event ahead of the reveal Wednesday at the Detroit Auto Show.

BMW Group, Ford Motor Co. and American Honda Motor Co. Inc. announced an agreement to create a new EV charging company: ChargeScape LLC. The three founding automakers will own equal shares of the new company, which will perform arbitrage of energy flows between EVs and the grid. The idea of automaker-aligned public charging networks has been catching on as executives realize that charging can create ongoing revenue streams measured in billions of dollars per year.
