    With 1064 hp, we knew the new Corvette ZR1 was going to be bonkers. Now we know the full and rather incredible scope of the fastest Corvette ever made. Today, Hagerty posted Jason Cammisa’s video review of the car, and superlatives don’t do it justice. Watch the film here. Across my 30 years of driving and reviewing Corvettes, I’ve been impressed with their strengths but also annoyed by their flaws. It’s gratifying to see the sports car reach such heights.

    This week, the Wall Street Journal reported that General Motors is urging employees to help repeal California’s upcoming ban on the sale of gas-powered cars. The Golden State has mandated that only zero-emission cars be sold starting in 2035. Over a dozen other states have adopted the rules. In an email to employees, GM asked that they contact their senators. The Senate will soon vote on a measure to repeal California’s ability to set its own emissions standards.

    One of my happiest of happy places is an asphalt ribbon on a mile-high ridge in the Blue Ridge Mountains called the Cherohala Skyway. This stunning 43-mile byway is our 2025 Road of the Year and should be on the bucket list of anyone who loves driving.
