Imolode is one of thousands of college students in Georgia and across the country who work for CareYaya.     Data from the Institute of International Education shows that in recent years, U.S. colleges and universities have enrolled a record number of students from abroad. Those increases are also being reflected in Georgia, which saw 26,450 international students in 2022, a growth of about 5.6% over the previous year. However, the Trump administration recently alarmed students and colleges across the country, announcing that international student visas were being revoked.

    Dennis Velez is a theme park enthusiast. Growing up, he was always interested in tinkering with objects and building things with Legos. Fast-forward to now: Velez is a 2025 graduate of Georgia Tech. While working toward his degree in mechanical engineering, he joined Georgia Tech’s Theme Park Engineering Design Club. He earned the nickname “safety guy” because of his interest and passion in design and his desire to ensure theme parks are safe.

    The 2026 FIFA World Cup is fast approaching and the City of Decatur is getting in on the fun. An influx of visitors are expected in Atlanta for the festivities and neighboring city Decatur is hosting Decatur WatchFest26. The aim of the 34-day festival is to bring more people to the city. Decatur Mayor Patti Garrett says city officials want to foster a fun and welcoming environment where people can enjoy and watch the games. It will feature outdoor screenings, live music and more.
