Sidi Ould Tah of Mauritania was today elected President of the African Development Bank Group at the Bank's Annual Meetings held in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Tah was elected by the Bank's Board of Governors, comprising Finance and Economy Ministers or Central Bank Governors of the Bank Group's 81 regional and non-regional member countries. The board is the highest decision-making authority for the Bank Group.

Prosecutors have disclosed to the Accra High Court that Andy Thomas Owusu, the second accused in the Office of the Special Prosecutor corruption case against Charles Bissue, has applied for a plea bargain. On Thursday, May 29, prosecutors from the OSP prayed for more time to finalise negotiations and documentation with the second accused. The case has since been adjourned to June 4, 2025.

The Supreme Court has set Wednesday, May 28, to hear the injunction application filed by suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Esaaba Araba Sackey Torkornoo against the Committee of Inquiry probing the petitions seeking her removal. The interlocutory injunction filed on May 21, 2025, seeks, among other things, to restrain the five-member committee established by President Mahama from continuing with the processes until the matter is finally determined.

The Accra High Court has ordered defence counsel in the case of former Signals Bureau Director and two others not to indulge in any plea bargain agreements until the prosecution has filed and accordingly served them with the full disclosures they will rely on in the case. On Monday, May 26, 2025, Deputy Attorney-General Dr Justice Srem-Sai pleaded with the court to be given more time to file their disclosures after failing to meet the deadline given by the court.
