    AUDUBON - The Audubon Community School District board approved a 5.1 percent pay increase total package for teachers during their meeting Monday night - all as determined by the new teacher pay bill that went through, according to school Superintendent Eric Trager. The increases come out of funding the district receives to bring teachers up to minimums required by the law, Trager said. The board also "made sure that everyone received something," he said.

    AUDUBON - A soft fleece blanket or pillow can be just the thing to help comfort a child in a stressful situation, or possibly even keep them warm. Angie Baylor Witness Coordinator for Audubon County, a point of contact when there is a victim, said Audubon County Sheriff Todd Johnson contacted her about a woman who had donated some things called Quillows, along with some blankets, which could be put into patrol cars and other places that victims might need them.
