The 48-year-old Louisiana woman charged today with second-degree murder in the death of Kansa City sports reporter Adan Manzano had an accomplice, who is also facing charges, police in Louisiana said on Tuesday, March 18. The alleged accomplice of Danette Colbert, 48, is Ricky White, who was a "transient," Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley stated at the press conference. He was charged with simple robbery and various fraud charges.

A woman has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Telemundo sports reporter Adan Manzano, according to WVUE, KHOU, and Fox 8 Live. Danette Colbert, 48, has been charged in connection with the 27-year-old reporter's death. Manzano was in New Orleans covering the Super Bowl when he died on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Soon after his death, Colbert was charged with fraud and theft after she was allegedly caught using Manzano's credit card.

A man accused of helping to steal Judy Garland’s famous ruby-red slippers from The Wizard of Oz died on Sunday. Jerry Hal Saliterman, 77, of Crystal, Minn., was set to plead guilty in January to theft of a major artwork and witness tampering, but he’d been unable to appear in court due to ongoing health problems, including Parkinson’s disease, sepsis and lung damage. His case was still pending, but following his death, a judge dismissed the charges against him, according to the New York Times.

Police have launched a homicide investigation after an Australian mother of two went to dinner with her kids and then met up with her former partner before being found dead in a local river the next morning. Crystal Beale, 49, is believed to have met up with a former partner after having dinner with her two children on the night of Feb. 21, according to the Brisbane Times. Her body was found by a rower in the Brisbane River the following morning.
