The National Weather Service issued the watch Sunday afternoon for D.C., nine counties in Maryland, 33 counties across Virginia and two counties in West Virginia.

    WASHINGTON — DC Police are investigating at least four shootings and one stabbing that happened overnight Saturday into Sunday morning, with at least two deaths. The first shooting was reported to the Seventh District around 10:45 p.m. Saturday. Officers were sent to the 1600 block of W Street, SE for reports of gunshots. As officers were responding, at least one person fired toward the officers, but they were not shot or injured. On the scene, police found one man with a gunshot wound.

    According to a spokesperson for Mayor Muriel Bowser, the fencing was taken down at her request. WASHINGTON — After numerous back and forth announcements about whether Dupont Circle would or wouldn't be closed during the WorldPride Parade, the National Park Service said Saturday morning that fencing was being removed from around the park. On Friday, a spokesperson for the NPS told WUSA9 that the park would be closed from 5 a.m. on Friday to approximately 6 p.m. on Sunday.
