Global Travelers to the U.K. will soon have to pay more to enter the country after the government this week confirmed the cost of its new Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) will increase 60 percent to £16. The online pre-travel check, first introduced in November 2023, is now a requirement for travelers from countries who do not need a visa to visit the U.K. and is similar to the longstanding Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) system in the United States.

Budget airline Wizz Air will launch a new route from London Gatwick to Wroclaw, Poland from 17 June. The four-times-weekly service will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are now on sale via the carrier’s website. The new route is in addition to the carrier’s existing flights from London Luton to Wroclaw, bringing total connections between London and the Polish city to 11 per week, and comes as the airline continues to expand its UK operations.
