When we talk about nails, it’s usually in reference to a favorite polish color or the nail art trend we can’t wait to try. And unless they’re constantly breaking, the health of our nails typically takes a back seat to other concerns. It makes sense: Nail health isn’t exactly sexy, so it’s easy to forget that our hands can tell us a lot about what’s going on inside our bodies. But one thing that’ll get you to pay attention to your nails is when they change the way they look or feel.

New York City has a way of convincing us that living here has to be hard. Sure, that’s true sometimes. But there’s a reason it’s also home to the most transformative, must-try beauty treatments: We need them. At the start of any season, I usually clock a good three or four hours on Mango’s website, browsing its new arrivals. The Spanish store is known for elevated pieces in flattering silhouettes that really go the distance. In fact, I’ve clocked nearly 100 miles in a pair of camel kitten-heel slingbacks I bought on sale for $30 in 2021. That said, Mango’s latest arrivals hit on some of the season’s biggest trends—and a few even transcend the trend cycle.

i’m in florida for the weekend and reddit has shown me at least 10 republican leaning sub-reddits and they’re all filled with insanity and cognitive dissonance. this is how you craft a state-wide population of ignorance. scary.
