T.J. suffers from severe autism and is a danger to himself and others, including his mother. This is T.J.’s story:T.J. is 14 years old and has struggled with severe autism all of his life. He is self-injurious, destructive, aggressive, and nonverbal. His mother, Shannon Kennedy, describes their life as very isolating.

    The Bibb County jail is making headlines yet again after inmates took advantage of the jail’s deteriorating conditions by jamming the locks of security doors and roaming the facility. The incident occurred on the evening of June 4 and resulted in multiple injuries and the death of 22-year-old Breele Jahiem Johnson. According to Sheriff David Davis, a group of five to eight inmates were able to open the security door between C- and D-block.
