It is a cold start to our Friday as our temperatures are in the 30s. A Frost Advisory has been issued for most of the NBC 26 viewing area that expires at 8 am Friday morning. After back-to-back days with gusty northeast winds, the winds will switch to the southwest on Friday, and temperatures will warm back up. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s away from Lake Michigan. Another cold front will move through tonight with a slight chance of a shower or storm.

A cold front moved through Tuesday night, our temperatures were below normal yesterday. We can expect similar conditions today. We will see highs near 60 degrees with breezy winds as high as 25 mph. Sunny skies and a low chance of rain showers will continue through the week. Temperatures will rise to around 70 on Friday as winds briefly turn to the southwest ahead of a cold front. The front will kick off a few showers and storms Friday night and cool us back down again for Saturday.

After a fairly nice and normal weekend, the mild weather continues. Why is that? We have an Omega blocking pattern across the United States. This means high pressure rules across the central US and nice weather for our neighborhoods. Meanwhile, other places in the US are experiencing flooding conditions. Our highs will be in the low 60s today with a mix of sun and clouds. Northeasterly winds are gusty, around 15 mph.

Showers and clouds stick around into Friday morning but begin to taper off into the afternoon. We hold on to cloudy skies throughout the day. Our temperatures stay in the low 50s today.
