BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - First Alert AccuTrack shows rain continuing to fall across Central Alabama tonight with some heavier pockets of rain and isolated thunderstorms mainly south and east of I-20/59 this evening. The severe threat has ended, but a Flood Watch is in place for all of Central Alabama until Monday evening at 7 p.m. CDT. Additional rainfall will be possible overnight especially in areas to the southeast. Remember to never drive through flooded areas. Turn around, don’t drown.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - A First Alert Weather Day is in place for Sunday with a flooding and severe risk possible as a line of storms moves in after midnight. These storms will push to the southeast and impact all of Central Alabama Sunday morning with rain lingering through the afternoon and evening hours. We think the greatest window for strong and severe storms will likely occur between 12 a.m. CDT - 2 p.m. CDT Sunday. The main threats will be damaging wind gusts and large hail.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - First Alert AccuTrack shows a partly cloudy sky across Central Alabama with a few isolated showers and storms lifting northward west of I-65. An isolated strong or severe storm can’t be ruled out in our northwest counties, so keep a close eye on the weather this evening The main threat will be damaging winds and large hail. Otherwise, the rest of us will stay warm, breezy, and humid.

We will likely start tomorrow morning in the mid 60s with a mostly clear sky. Tomorrow should end up mostly sunny and very warm with highs back into the mid to upper 80s. Winds should continue from the east at 5-10 mph. It should be a great day if you are heading to Talladega Superspeedway for the YellaWood 500 race.
