Liberty and justice are under attack as the Trump regime’s assault on due process and unlawful deportations escalates. It’s happening in plain sight, with little to no resistance from the Republican-controlled Congress. Ms. Ozturk, a Fulbright Scholar studying child development, was walking down the street when six men in plain clothes and face masks handcuffed her, put her in an unmarked van, and transported her across three states before locking her up in Louisiana. No charges. No explanation.

Our government exists to serve the people. But another legislative session ruled by the Republican supermajority showed exactly what happens when one party has unchecked power for too long: extremist policies that hurt families and kids. While Idahoans struggle to afford housing, healthcare, and childcare, Republican lawmakers gave hundreds of millions in tax breaks that overwhelmingly benefit the wealthiest 1%. And they paid for it by gutting programs that serve the rest of us.

Access to clean water and protection from extreme weather aren’t luxuries. They are a matter of survival, both today and for future generations. This is top of mind as Idaho faces blistering record-breaking temperatures and potential water shortages. But when it comes to addressing our changing climate, too many politicians have been content to kick the can down the road indefinitely.

What a relief that Kilmar, who was wrongfully abducted, could send a message of love to his worried family. Let's hope the courts compel the Trump regime to get him home, as ordered by SCOTUS. If not, the GOP-controlled Congress must uphold their oath to the Constitution and act.

This is theft of the wages owed to teachers for work they already completed and theft to kids who should be getting math instruction. Idahoans are getting hurt as Trump/Musk regime unlawfully decides who to pay and who to stiff. And the GOP is silent. https://t.co/4236DIDOpF
