Google has quietly redesigned the big ‘G’ icon it uses for its Google app for iOS and Android. The change, which was first spotted by 9to5Google, is happening 10 years after Google first introduced the circular G icon that mixes the same four colors used by the Google logo. Compared to the previous version of the logo that showed the red, yellow, green, and blue segments in solid blocks, the new G logo introduces a subtle gradient between all colored segments.

Spotify’s AI DJ, which is currently available in more than 60 markets, is now taking music requests. Spotify Premium members can now use their voice to just ask for the kind of music they want to hear at that moment, and the AI DJ will update the personalized listening session in real time. “DJ can handle a combination of genre, mood, artist, or activity-related requests,” the Spotify team explained.

Apple revealed today some new accessibility features coming to iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS later this year. The new additions include Magnifier for Mac, Braille Access, Accessibility Reader, and Live Captions support on the Apple Watch. These new accessibility features will take advantage of Apple Silicon and “advances in on-device machine learning and artificial intelligence,” Apple said today.

Apple has just released iOS 18.5, iPadOS 18.5, macOS Sequoia 15.5, and watchOS 11.5 (via 9to5Mac). The incremental updates add a new Screen Time feature for parents, minor improvements to the Mail app, a new dynamic Pride Harmony wallpaper and watch face, and more. For iPhone, iPad, and Mac users, the new updates will send parents a notification when the Screen Time passcode is used on a child’s device.

Microsoft quietly announced last week that it will provide security updates for Microsoft 365 on Windows 10 PCs for three additional years. With Windows 10 reaching end of support on October 14, 2025, these apps will now remain supported until October 2028. “To help maintain security while you transition to Windows 11, Microsoft will continue providing security updates for Microsoft 365 Apps on Windows 10 for three years after Windows 10 reaches end of support.
