After surviving the devastating January wildfires, a Pacific Palisades man stood in the middle of his neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon after his childhood home ignited in flames. "I couldn't believe it when I first got the call," Pacific Palisades native John Wyatt said. "It's been more than I've seen in my career," LA County Fire Section Chief Kenichi Haskett said. A video taken two weeks ago in Venice showed lifeguards tending to a seizing dolphin. Authorities investigating Palisades Fire test with controlled fires A search for the cause of the Palisades Fire has intensified as federal investigators concluded a controlled fire test in the Pacific Palisades area. Tuesday night, agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives lit a controlled fire along the Temescal Ridge Trail and Skull Rock near the fire's origin. The Los Angeles Fire Department said the ATF's test finished earlier than expected.
