Despite having had a very rough year on the field, Mexico’s attendance for games in the US was still quite robust. Over the course of ten games played on American soil, El Tri averaged 54,277 fans per game. While support for the Mexican National Team is always very good, there’s no doubt that the Copa America was a boon for their crowds the same way that it was for the USMNT. Here’s how their attendance shook out. March 21 - Mexico vs. Panama - AT&T Stadium - 40,926March 24 - Mexico vs.

It was quite the 2024 for the USWNT. They got a new coach in Emma Hayes, widely regarded as the best women’s coach in the world. And they went to the Olympics in Paris and won the gold medal, their first Olympic triumph since London 2012. Next year, of course, is the big one as the World Cup comes to the US along with Mexico and Canada.

It’s been a banner few days internationally for the women’s soccer program at the University of Memphis. The new Northern Super League in Canada kicked off their inaugural season, with seven former Memphis Tigers on opening day rosters. Not only were the Tigers well represented but it was former Tiger Tanya Boychuck who scored the winning goal for the Montreal Roses in their game against Toronto.
