DePaul men’s basketball is fun. That isn’t a misprint — DePaul men’s basketball is fun. Read that back. Take a moment. Let it settle in for a second. No, seriously. This isn’t the same DePaul team that would struggle to score 60 points against a 330th-ranked KenPom team in non-conference play. This isn’t the same DePaul team that would run a three-man weave in order to generate offense. This version of DePaul runs a modern offense. This version of DePaul runs and spaces the floor at a respectable level.

VIDEO: CBS Sports Confidential: Illinois FootballCHAMPAIGN – There were certainly some questions about Illinois’ defense heading into its first Big Ten game against No. 7 Penn State on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. VIDEO: Why J Leman is excited about 2023 Illini footballCHAMPAIGN – Football games last 60 minutes. Memories last a lifetime. The 1983 Illinois football team created 540 minutes worth of memories after it ran roughshod through the Big Ten schedule to finish the conference season perfect: 9-0. A season that would finish with a date to the Rose Bowl to face UCLA. That game ended up being only one of two games that season where the Illini didn’t win, falling 45-9 to the Bruins.

VIDEO: What concerns J Leman about 2023 Illini footballCHAMPAIGN, Ill. – A year ago, Miles Scott would not have envisioned himself scoring a key defensive touchdown that would be the catalyst for his team to defeat a pesky Toledo team 30-28 in its season opener. But football is a funny game. Scott, who initially joined Illinois as a walk-on wide receiver, secured a scholarship this spring — but with one caveat, as a defender.
