Although the incidence of cervical cancer plateaued or decreased among women living in urban counties of the United States, women in rural counties had increased incidence in recent years, according to data recently published in JAMA Network Open. Notably, the gap between cervical cancer mortality in rural counties and rates in urban counties has also widened in recent years, the study showed.
