Dear EditorWe read with interest the review of Crocker et al. published in March 2024. Issues of prevention and maintenance of function are now increasingly important because of demographic ageing. Crocker et al. report their network meta-analysis of complex interventions, where they investigated which groups of intervention components would most likely sustain older people’s independence.
