Marelize Horn went viral in 2019 for her video of riding a bike into a rugby pole, and now it’s a movie!MultiChoice announced last year at the Silwerskerm Film Festival that they had commissioned a film based on the viral video. Written by Brett Michael Innes and directed by Zandr Coetzer, the film is inspired by the events leading up to the iconic rugby pole incident.

President Cyril Ramaphosa congratulated Leleti Khumalo and Anant Singh for winning the Golden Nymph Award at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival for the short film Don’t Give Up. The film, a heart-wrenching portrayal of Johannesburg’s homeless, won Best Creation. “I congratulate Leleti Khumalo and Anant Singh for flying our flag and for spotlighting one of our nation’s socio-economic challenges,” reads a post on the president’s X account.

For Father’s Day, the Prince and Princess of Wales have shared new photos of Prince William and his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
