    We’re still about a month away from the release of Skybound and Image Comics G.I. Joe #1. But at the pace they’re going, we’re going to get the whole issue posted online before then. But if the new pages and new covers provided by Skybound are this good looking? Well, I’m not mad. Written by Joshua Williamson with art by Tom Reilly and colors by Jordie Bellaire, the new G.I. Joe #1 is the culmination of several miniseries — and a big step forward for G.I. Joe and Cobra in the new Energon Universe.

    The best stories leave some things up to the reader’s interpretation, and some of the best comics cause readers to question their interpretations of age-old themes, teams, and characters. Changing the reader's frame of perception with new perspectives or insights into dark secrets and events between the panels can call every aspect of a comic into question. There’s a fine line between retcons and revelations, especially in a multiverse with such a convoluted and fluctuating timeline.
