    A 24-year-old Marion County man was arrested on Friday for allegedly soliciting a child online, the Marion County Sheriff's Office said. According to the MCSO, on March 12, 2025, Gavin Kirby began private messaging with an undercover detective who had posted on social media about being new to the area. Kirby was informed he was communicating with a 13-year-old girl, obtained her phone number, and made multiple calls.

    Ericson Ullo-Flores, 18, and Edwin Cardenas, 22, are in custody at the Volusia County Jail on kidnapping charges, the Daytona Beach Police Department said. Per the police report, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old girl were reported missing in North Carolina on Saturday. Parents say the teens left a note Saturday night indicating they were leaving with some "guys they met."Neither girl had her phone with her, but they were later located in Daytona Beach, DBPD said.

OPD responded to a call at TD Bank on SE 17th St., where the suspect allegedly fled the scene with over $5,000 before officers arrived. A witness told police that the suspect had handed a note to the bank teller stating this was a robbery and that she was armed with a gun.
